Trevor Retires

it saddens me to report that due to a very nasty crash in Osnabruck, Trevor has decided to retire.what started to be a fantastic day with a 2nd in timed training and beating our own joint favourite British Championship contenders of Nick and Abi Radley.Trevor and Darren took to the tapes of their first race.as the tapes went up the wild Danish team pulled a massive wheelie and rode straight into the side of Trev and Darren hence knocking them up side down, they took their place in the re-run but made a bad start, they chased the pack and caught and past German driver Arne Friskovec and head down they not only chased and caught Reigning British Champions and this years joint favourites but flew past and started to catch the  2 teams battling for the lead, but as Trevor and Darren where coming along the back straight and approaching the last bend due to the sun being very bright and with very dusty conditions Trev became Blinded Breifly and Thought he was in the bend but was actually just inside the markers.as the dust cleared and trevs vision came back to his horror a marshall was only a few meters in front of him,he tried to take avoiding action but to no avail,he collected the poor man and all went over in a very nasty way.we all thought the possable worst but releived that no loss of life, yet injurys sustained were still very bad,Darren Dyno Sargeant has a fractured wrist but must of flown 30 meters and ended up against the out side boards,Trevor who went cartwheeling with the bike was laying on the inside markers and told me hes broke his leg but more concerned with others once in hospital it was found that Trevor had shattered his right knee and had also torn all the tendons and muscles inc crutia ligament such that the doctors at first thought his leg may need to be amputated.but all at Team 77 are more concerned with the poor 70 Year old mr Jurgen Schild who in our eyes came of the worse his injurys are.amputated foot broken pelvis and damaged to his leg and i beleive his other ankle suffered a break all our thoughts are with him and his family at this time.we thank all who have helped in the sponsors friends and family we would also like to thank all our fellow competitors home and abroad  for all their help.we would also like to thank Janine Glatzier and Frank Dembrecht from M S C OSNABRUCK  for all their help.we would like to Thank all the staff at the Klinikum Hospital at am finkelhugel Osnabruck.for their work on Trevor.last and not least every one who have phoned/texted asking of Trevs well being.

British Qualifyer

after a very wet night and plenty of rain in the morning there was concern with the Lymington mcc as to call the meeting of,after calling all riders for a breifing they decided to give it a little longer and as luck would have it the rain stopped and the meeting took place.

in race 1 Trevor and Darren lined up with pre meeting Favourites Nick and Abi Radley/ current reigning Champions Shaun Harvey/Danny Hogg   Barry Bennett/Eifon Hughs and others.the tapes rose and not a great gate but team 77 hit the corner first but with Nick/Abi coming in underneath very fast and hard had to vacate the line or they would of been upside down and taken wide allowed Bennett/Hughs and Harvey/Hogg through still they chased and Passed Harvey/hogg but had to settle for third behind Bennett/Hughs  Radleys

race 2 again the team hit the first turn and went underneath Gary Southgate/Laura Kerrison and took the lead and the Chequerd Flag  finishing the race a straight in front.

race 3 and the team were up against Chris Salisbury/Mike Tomes  the Radleys  Wayne Read/Craig Mathison  and ? ?   a bit of a spin let the others teams hit the front but team 77 chased the pack and passed the teams of Read/Mathison  Radleys  and chased the leading team of Salisbury/Tomes but could not get past so a 2nd place in their final heat.

the final was for prize money only as the overall standings were done on the heats, team 77 took their place but a clutc problem did not allow them to pull of the line and had to pull out.still the team are happy as they share the 4th place overall  with Chris Salisbury/Mike Tomes  full finishing list supplied.
